The photographer behind the listings

Alexana Photography is run by Anthony Soumiatin out of the Branson lakes area, shooting listings, cabins, and commercial spaces across Branson, Hollister, Kimberling City, and Table Rock Lake.

I came to photography from the stage. I perform as an acrobat and cyr wheel artist, and I still do. Flying a drone and shooting started as a hobby I loved on the side, and over time it grew into the work I do every day. Performing trains your eye for light, for angle, and for the one moment that reads. A good listing photo needs exactly that.

I have also spent the last five years as a licensed Missouri real estate agent. That is the part most photographers do not have. I have walked hundreds of listings and watched which photos make a buyer pick up the phone. So when I shoot a home, I am not guessing at the angles. I know which room sells the house, which feature a buyer is really looking for, and how to light a space so it looks its best.

I shoot the Branson lakes area because I know it: the cabins, the lake views, and the way a property sits on the water. That is what sells a listing here, and it is what I frame for.

I also care about the small things on the shoot itself. I will put the soaps and trash out of sight, wipe a smudged mirror, set the blinds for the light, and straighten what is clearly out of place. They are little things, and they are the difference between a photo that looks fine and one that sells the room.
